We are making places that establish awareness of our presence in space and time. Space becomes an expression of time by the interaction between light and structure: continuously changing light/shadows patterns and sky backgrounds reveal the passage of time throughout the day and the year. Architecture frames the land and the sky, evoking ancient cosmologies and promoting contemplative meditation on nature as means for healing and finding peace. Our design is informed by: the relationship with the Sun integration between architecture and landscape, as interface between built environment and natural sites structural expression as diagram of forces sustainability as holistic vision use of materials in their structural, environmental, functional and aesthetic performance
